Govt committed to increase employment opportunities CM Dhami

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said the is committed to increase EMPLOYMENT and create self employment opportunities in Uttarakhand.

The government has increased the upper age limit in the recruitment examinations by one year and has exempted the application fees for the applicants. The CM was addressing the youth in the Employment Fair in Haldwani on Tuesday. He said that the youth should take Leadership roles in every sector and said that such fairs are providing employment opportunities. The CM said that there are 3700 registered Home stays in the state which are giving employment to 8000 youngsters.

He said that after a long time the state government has started a process to recruit 1764 posts in the Police department. The CM said that the state government is providing a sum of Rs 50,000 to the youngsters preparing for the civil Services, Union Public Service Commision(UPSC) and MBBS examinations. He said that the government is committed to promote vocal for local and the Self Help Groups are being encouraged for it.

The fair was jointly inaugurated by CM Dhami, the parliamentary affairs and urban development minister Banshi Dhar Bhagat and Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat.

First State to Have 100% First Dose Vaccinations Telangana

has become the first state in India to complete 100 percent of the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination.

Highlights:

Telangana has given out the first doses of vaccination for 2.77 crore citizens with the help of Health workers, including the ASHA workers and ANMs to doctors.

In terms of the first dose, the state is 9% ahead of the national Average, while in terms of the second dose, it is 3% ahead of the national average.

Vaccination for children aged 15 to 18 will begin on January 3, 2022. It will be carried out in dual-mode mode.

Children in Municipal Corporation areas can use CoWIN to register for vaccination.

PETA Indias 2021 Person Of The Year – Alia Bhatt

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has named Alia Bhatt as its Person of the Year for 2021.

Highlights:

She is an animal lover who frequently posts pictures of her pets on Social Media.

Alia Bhatt invested in Phool, the company that created Feather, a vegan leather made from discarded temple flowers, earlier this year.

Ed-a-Mamma, her vegan children’s clothing line, also won a PETA India fashion award in 2021 for fostering children’s love of animals and nature.

Alia also starred in a PETA India campaign promoting adoption to help cats and dogs. She has taken advantage of her position to advocate for stricter animal protection legislation.

UNSC Counter-Terrorism Committee: Indias Chair

After a ten-year absence, India will take over as chair of the UN Security Council’s counter-terrorism committee in 2022 January.

Highlights:

The Counter-Terrorism Committee is more important for India because it has been advocating for relevant measures to combat terrorism on a global scale.

The committee was last chaired by India in 2012.

Ambassador TS Tirumurti, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, announced on January 8, 2021, that India will chair three important UNSC communities in 2021-22.

The Taliban Sanctions Committee, the Counter-Terrorism Committee, and the Libya Sanctions Committee are the three committees.

Inmarsat-6 F1 Communications Satellite Launched by Japan

Inmarsat-6 F1, a Communication satellite, has been launched from Japan’s Tanegashima Space Center.

Highlights:

It was launched by a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) H-IIA204 rocket into geostationary orbit, about 22,240 miles (35,790 kilometers) above the earth.

Inmarsat, a London-based company, is developing it as part of its next-generation satellite broadband service.

The satellite is the first of two ‘I-6’ spacecraft and weighs 12,060-pounds (5,470 kilograms).

The Inmarsat-6 F1 launch, designated H-IIAF45, is Japan’s third orbital flight of 2021 and H-second IIA’s mission of the year, marking the H-IIA vehicle’s 45th flight overall.

NASA Psyche Mission

In August 2022, NASA will launch the Psyche mission. It will be the first mission to explore Psyche, a massive Metal asteroid in the main asteroid belt.

Highlights:

The asteroid Psyche is orbiting the Sun between Mars and Jupiter. The Psyche mission is one of NASA’s two early Solar System exploration missions.

The Lucy mission is another mission to study the early Solar System by exploring Jupiter’s Trojan asteroids.

The Psyche Mission is the first mission to be launched by NASA to investigate Psyche, a unique giant metal asteroid.
